Our Inspiration
The original little red schoolhouses in America equipped the thinkers, innovators, and leaders of the future. We take inspiration from the spirit of these institutions, weaving through their day strategically good food, outdoor time, playgrounds created with natural elements, classical literature, gardens, animals, music, art, and much more.
Imaginations at Work
We ensure unstructured play time, numerous interactions with books that have rich vocabularies and stories, and toys that build math and science knowledge. Also included are little nooks and corners for children to find some peaceful, quiet moments to look out the window at the world and dream.
“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
― Albert Einstein.
The Four Pillars
At American Schoolhouse Academy, we believe education is a journey of wonder that begins at the youngest ages. Like the little red schoolhouses of the past, we seek to surround children with the joy of the natural world and allow for the unfolding of their curiosity in purposeful ways. Our four pillars of Academics, Physical Health, Mental Health, and Character are the foundation for introduction into a world filled with beauty, challenge, adventure, quests, respites, questions, searches, inspiration, and so much more.
